Our Doctors 

Dr van der Velden-Schuijling trained at the Radboud University in Netherlands, graduating as a doctor in 2007 and as a fellow General Practitioner in 2012. Welcomed to Donnybrook in 2013. She became an Australian fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015.

She believes in the importance of continuity of care, for all groups and combining preventative and curative care. She feels honoured to be able to build her practice and family life in the supportive local community in Donnybrook.

Dr Wietske van der Velden-Schuijling

Emily graduated from medical school in the UK in 2010 and worked in the NHS for two years before moving to WA in 2012. Since then she has worked in many of the teaching hospitals in Perth across a variety of specialties before relocating to the South West with her family in 2017 to start work as a GP.

She is interested in all aspects of general practice providing preventative care and active treatment to all members of the community, young and old. Special interests include chronic diseases management, aged care and palliative medicine.

Dr Emily Hill

Dr Marie Herd is a medical graduate of the University of Notre Dame Fremantle and is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. 
Dr Marie welcomes patients of all ages and gender and has a special interest in Women’s Health, Chronic disease management and Skin Cancer Medicine.
Dr Marie has a Certificate in Family Planning and Sexual Health, and a Certificate in Vulval Dermatology. She is qualified to insert and remove Implanons and IUDs. 
Dr Marie has a Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Certificate in Dermoscopy with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
She strives to work together with her patients to improve their wellbeing and enjoys getting to know them over time.

Dr Marie Herd

Born and Trained in the United Arab Emirates. Worked in Malaysia for a couple of years before coming to Australia in 2013. His special Interests are in Emergency Medicine, Chronic Disease, Children’s Health and in addition to performing all aspects of General Practice for all ages. He is also involved in minor skin surgery. Prathap's future plans are in regenerative medicine and facial aesthetics in cosmetic medicine. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family

Dr Prathap Kaliaraj

Dr Jacob Poller was born in the UK and moved to Bunbury with his family in 2005 where he attended high school. He graduated from The University of Western Australia as a Doctor of Medicine in 2019. Since graduation he has worked in Bunbury Regional Hospital for 3 years. Jacob has also done further Paediatric training completing the Sydney Child Health Program. He has since entered GP training as a GP registrar. Jacob plays soccer and surfs in his spare time. He has special interests in General Practice including chronic care, preventative medicine, sports medicine and paediatric medicine. 

Dr Jacob Poller

Tim graduated with MBBS from the University of Western Australia in 2012, and has worked in general practice in Queensland, and has some acute care experience in Western Australia. 
He has an interest in rural medicine, and is excited to be working with the Donnybrook community.
